ESF Basilicata 2014/2020: spending targets reached

All 51 Operational Programs co-financed in Italy by the Social Fund for the period 2014-2020 have reached the spending targets set by the European Commission.

This was communicated by the Agency for Territorial Cohesion, making available the certification data of the expenses incurred, presented by the Management Authorities to the Commission at the deadline of 31 December 2019.

The European regulations establish, in fact, that the financial resources related to a commitment on the Community budget, if they have not been included in a declaration of expenditure, they are decommitted by the Commission with a serious loss for the territory involved.

Therefore, the 2014-2020 ESF Basilicata OP also achieved the expenditure objectives with the certification of the Commission, avoiding, thus, the reduction of community funding useful for the implementation of the various policies in the field of training, social inclusion and employment development.
