Microcredit: first projects admitted

With the determination of the Sole Administrator on 23 January 2020, 13 new business projects were admitted to the FSE Microcredit of the Basilicata Region, for a total of approximately 324,000 euros, presented by unemployed individuals who will be able to start their own business with 25,000 euros. of the great commitment that the regional government and President Bardi are reserving to policies to support employment and work “, commented the sole director of Sviluppo Basilicata, Gabriella Megale.

” The sectors are different: they range from photojournalist to the repair of furniture and objects of furniture, from the management of sports facilities to the services of hairdressing and aesthetic salons. The recipients of the loan – added Megale – are mainly men and half under the age of 35; Of the 13 recipients, only 2 are resident in the provincial capitals (1 in Potenza and 1 in Matera) while the remaining 11 are located in another 9 municipalities in Basilicata.

This is a great result not only for Sviluppo Basilicata but also for the whole Region: supporting the start-up of new businesses in small towns means revitalizing the Lucanian entrepreneurial fabric and allowing the development of new, small businesses that hopefully generate work and occupation in turn.

The self-employment and self-employment of people in a state of unemployment confirm that we must focus on ourselves to get out of conditions of economic and social hardship rather than waiting for a job as an employee or for a subsidy.

These are the first admissions following a process that from the submission of the application has gone from a maximum of 2.5 months to a minimum of 1 month and 15 days (against the 4 months provided for by the Notice if we also consider the time allowed to the recipients to produce the documentation). For this first result, I can only thank the Departments to which the measure belongs represented by the councilors Cupparo and Leone for the contribution made in recent months to the diffusion of the measure through their participation, despite the commitments, in the meetings “Microcredit; a possible challenge “, and the Managing Authority Po Fse 2014-2020 for collaboration. I ask all interested parties to contact us, follow our seminars and submit applications for funding: we are here to help make your challenge a dream possible! “.

We remind you that the Microcredit fund is financed under the Po Fse Basilicata 2014-2020 with a financial endowment of 20 million euros expiring on 30 June 2023. Two public notices are active: Microcredit A aimed at the creation of business and self-employment activities by unemployed individuals and Microcredit B aimed at supporting and strengthening the economy of the Third Sector.
