The “Rimotiviamoci” (Let’s get motivated) project

The “Rimotiviamoci” (Let’s get motivated again) project of the social cooperative Il Puzzle, funded as part of a public notice funded by OP ESF Basilicata 2014-2020, provided services and interventions aimed at avoiding institutionalization (home services, forms of day centres, different forms of foster care ).

The methodological approach used starts from the concept of participation in the creation of opportunities with a view to “network work” including social, health and psychological services, referents of the municipality of residence of the families, aimed to tack a common problem.

15 families in poverty with minors, victims of school dropout, were taken care of and the project, which ended in February 2020, provided for educational support actions for the minor / teenager within his family, accompaniment of minors at home-school and school – home, school recovery, foster care and home support, moments of impromptu aggregation.

Manual, artistic, musical and computer labs have accompanied families and children towards social integration with a substantial improvement in the quality of life. A direct testimony is Pasquale, a minor entrusted to the judicial services, who at the end of his path, acquired self-esteem and understood how to react to the difficult trials that life poses, managing to process the closure in himself and beginning to understand the importance of being a participant in his own community with the will to permanently insert himself into society.
