European Social Sound 4U – 19/10/2019, Semi-final of Potenza: The winners and the ranking
The first semifinal of the national competition for emerging bands “European Social Sound 4U” took place at the Cine Teatro Due Torri in Potenza. The evening of October 19 saw eight bands alternate on stage, preselected after registration, to compete for a place in the national final which will take place in Matera on December 14th.
During the Matera evening, only one of all the winning bands of the various regional semifinals, will have the opportunity to win the first prize of € 10,000 in useful services to promote their artistic activity. The critics’ prize will be awarded to a further musical formation that will be entitled to a total prize money of € 3,000 in useful services to promote their business.
Judges of the semifinal of Potenza were Rocco Spagnoletta of Musicamanovella and Joe Barbieri, the singer-songwriter, producer Italian record artist and author who, raised at the court of Pino Daniele, subsequently landed on stages all over the world, from Japan to North America.During the evening, video testimonies of young people and adults were projected who, thanks to the opportunities offered by the ESF Basilicata 2014-2020, have improved their professional training or social status.
The contest presented by Peppino Centola and Omar Gallo saw the winner of the duo “Serena Matù” thanks to the votes cast by the quality jury (65% weight on the overall vote ) and by the public and the web (weight 35% on the overall vote).
The judges, individually, can vote from 1 to 25 for each judging category and for a maximum of 100 points per track. Band in order of performance and final classification:
