European Social Sound – Final in Matera on December 14th

The national final of European Social Sound U4, the first European format that combines a contest for high-level emerging bands with an information initiative on projects financed by the European Social Fund, will be held on the evening of Saturday 14 December in Matera. Auditorium Raffaele Gervasio (piazza Sedile, 1 – entrance from Ipogei di piazza San Francesco in via del corso), with notes, the 8 groups that have passed the 4 regional selections (Basilicata, Sicily, Tuscany and Umbria) will perform live for Choose the winning band.

From the competition in Umbria come the Effetto Contrario and PopulAlma, from that of Basilicata the Respiro and Serena MaTù, from that of Tuscany Emma Morton and The Grace and the Flame Parade, finally from Sicily the Archinuè and the Bliss. , – explains the Management Authority of the ESF (European Social Fund) of the Basilicata Region – European Social Sound “went out of his way”.

Thanks to an agreement signed between the Regions and also supported by Anpal, (National Agency for Active Labor Policies), the format, after two editions with great feedback and media attention in the Umbria region, has also been successfully replicated in Tuscany, Basilicata and Sicily, for a total of eight live evenings and lots of music thanks to the dozens of bands that participated in the various web and live selections. Both the public and a jury of experts will choose the best emerging band, as in the regional selections.

The jury of experts will be led by the one who is also the main guest: Roberto Dell’Era, bassist of Afterhours and collaborator of many musicians including Dente and Calibro 35.

Dell’Era is also a member of the trio “The Winstons” and is well known for his remarkable live activity. Together with him in the jury there will be Daniela Amenta, journalist and writer expert in music and shows who currently hosts “Cactus – Just a little water” with Concita De Gregorio broadcast every day on Radio Capital and Silvia Boschero, radio host of Radio Rai for which has conducted, among other things, Moby Dick, King Kong and Stereo Notte, while currently conducting “La version delle Due” on Radio 2 with Andrea Delogu.

There will also be a “Critics’ Prize” with a prize pool of 3 thousand euros, again in promotional services. The first two groups will also receive a trophy, while for all participating groups there will be certificates of participation and a photo shoot in digital format (10 shots) Admission is free, but reservations are required through the European Social Sound website .
